Zak Whitefield is Irish (County Tyrone, N.Ireland). He travelled the world for some time and eventually settled down in the south of Nouvelle Aquitaine, France. Concerts with Jasmine, The Highlights but also with his own rock band, The Voodoo Piñatas, playing guitar and singing in the company of friends and fellow musicians. His powerful and slightly husky voice is a perfect match for rock and blues on top of folk & country. He has developed a very personal and percussive style on the guitar, an approach that owes much to the Irish culture but also influenced by Spanish, Mexican and Ukrainian music.
