Jasmine Elise comes from an English family, she was born and resides in Dordogne, France. On top of her duet with Zak Whitefield, she’s a core member of The Highlights and appears as a guest in various bands and sessions. She is an accomplished musician with a solid guitar picking technique, she also plays the mandolin, the sitar and a little banjo. Her voice has a crystal-clear and distinctive grain, her ability to sort of glide on the notes gives her vocals and harmonies a combined Irish and Eastern tone. She can sing about anything, not just folk and ballads.
